VO2max & Lactate Profile Test
The VO2max & lactate profile fitness test is key for any endurance based athlete and the most accurate way to set training intensities and track changes in aerobic fitness. All tests are conducted using research grade equipment in our human performance physiology laboratories. The test can be conducted on either a treadmill, bike or rowing ergometer. Soon after the test you will receive a full written report which will include: information on your lactate threshold, lactate turnpoint and VO2max; personalised heart rate training zones and training advice. Please note that as this is a maximal exercise test people aged 40+ years are recomended to first seak approval from their GP.

Skinfold Body Composition Test
The skinfold assessment is an ideal add-on for the VO2max & lactate profile test, but can also be conducted on its own. This assessment measures the thickness of the skin and fat lying just underneath the skin. Seven different sites are measured across the upper and lower body. The results can be used to track changes in body composition over time and to calculate your percentage of body fat.
- £20 (ex VAT) – If conducted at the same time as a VO2max test
- £27 (ex VAT) – If conducted as a standalone test
