Research
Research Overview
My current research focuses on issues of conflict and identity, as well as memory and history in northern Mozambique. It provides the first ethnographic account investigating the relationship between Makonde and Mwani. During my current fellowship I am at the moment preparing a monograph for publication. My next project will focus on the memories and role of the veterans of the Portuguese colonial wars.
