Personal Biography
Dr. Alexia Ventouri is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance in the Department of Economics and Finance at Brunel University. Prior to this appointment, she was a Lecturer in Financial Studies at Sussex University; and she has previous industry experience in the banking sector, specialising in industry risk and stress test analysis. She obtained her MSc and PhD degrees in Finance from the University of Essex, and holds a BSc in Economic Science from the University of Piraeus.
Research
Research Overview
Alexia’s research interests are in the areas of bank efficiency and performance, financial frictions, business cycles, regulation and financial crisis. Her publications appear in internationally recognised journals such as Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting, Journal of Financial Stability and Journal of Applied Financial Economics.
