Research
Research Overview
My early research focuses on growth theory and fiscal policy. In particular, I explored alternative growth policies in population aging societies; I explored the fiscal policy implications of the hypothesis of endogenous subjective discounting on economic growth, environmental quality, and obesity rates. My current research focuses on how the emergence of land property rights and the duality in subsistence consumption during the Malthusian era affected the transition of economies to industrialization and their contemporary economic performance.
