Personal Biography

Sotiris is a Lecturer in Economics at the Department of Economics & Finance at Brunel University. Prior to joining Brunel, he worked as a Research Fellow at the London School of Economics. He has conducted research for international organisations and governments such as WHO, the European Commission and the European Parliament. He has taught on MSc programmes at the LSE since 2008 as well as at other institutions, including Sorbonne-Cite and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

Research

Research Overview

Sotiris’ research focuses on health economics, pharmaceutical economics and policy, industrial organisation and experimental economics. In particular, he has worked on pharmaceutical competition, pricing and reimbursement, tendering, parallel trade, access to medicines, therapeutic substitution, health and financial crisis, the economics of preventative healthcare, behavioural health economics and consumers’ preferences on currency denomination.
