Research

Research Overview

I am primarily interested in the impact of large-scale societal transitions and threats on everyday psychological processes. I have a particular interest in the ways in which individual differences combine with group and cultural variations in informing responses to these changes and threats. My current work includes studies of internal migration in China, the US and Georgia, reactions to the March 2011 earthquake in Japan, and responses to pandemic influenza threats across cultures.
