Summary
Matthew David is the author of Science in Society (Palgrave 2005), and Peer to Peer and the Music Industry: The Criminalization of Sharing (Theory, Culture and Society Monograph Series 2010); editor of Case Study Research (Sage 2007), and Methods of Interpretive Sociology (Sage 2010); and co-author of Knowledge Lost in Information (British Humanities Press 1999) and Social Research: An Introduction (with Carole Sutton, Sage 2004 and 2011).
He is currently researching piracy, online sharing and other ‘crimes’ against network capitalism, and has a longer term interest in the sociology of science and technology. He has published extensively on these topics in international journals including: International Sociology, Current Sociology, Sociology Compass, European Journal of Social Theory, New Genetics and Society, Sport in Society, Journal of Policy Research, Sociological Research Online, Telematics and Informatics, Critical Horizons, International Journal of Social Research Methods, Systemica, Perspectives on Global Development and Technology, Radical Philosophy and Acta Sociadad. He has also contributed to numerous edited books and encyclopaedias.
