Adetutu Adebesin

I have just completed my first placement at St Pancras hospital where I worked on the inpatient Neuro-rehabilitation ward treating patients with stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.

As well as working with a really experienced physiotherapy team, I also had the opportunity to work closely with occupational therapists, psychologists, nurses and doctors, which helped to put everything I have learnt so far into practice.

My first therapy session was with a traumatic brain injury patient, being able to take part in the patient rehabilitation process provides me with a great sense of personal satisfaction. I also had the opportunity to take part in staff training sessions in the hospitals. I really enjoyed my time at the hospital and I look forward to working in other physiotherapy settings in the summer.
