Brunel is special to me because it’s such a diverse and friendly place. Having just started at Brunel, I am already aware of how approachable the staff and students are, both on my course and generally around the university.

Brunel offers a considerable amount of free support to any student who might be struggling, for example there is a counselling service which operates a drop-in service, and also a service to help any student who might be struggling academically – I have a number of friends who have used both and were very impressed! The Disability and Dyslexia Service have also won awards for their excellent service, and as a student with dyspraxia, I have felt completely supported since beginning my studies.

Brunel has a particularly welcoming atmosphere and is very inclusive. I feel comfortable walking around campus and getting involved in university activities because I feel that the staff and students here accept me. Honestly, I have never felt so comfortable in a new environment.
