I liked Brunel because the campus seemed nice and everyone was friendly at the open day. The location is convenient – it’s easy to get into London.

I have a passion for computer science and the Brunel course just seemed right. The facilities are first rate and the computers are fast giving you everything that you need on them.

I did a placement at IBM, which was a great experience; I took part in events including supporting the Wimbledon tennis championships, I learnt time management, team skills and about systems development and management. I’ll be starting at IBM this summer on their graduate scheme and working with them again at Wimbledon in the technical team. The technical modules from my course really helped get my skills up to scratch.

I took part in the Made in Brunel Software Innovation event, presenting my final year project investigating the use of social networks to control robots without programming skills. It helped improve my presentation and communication skills.

The biggest challenge was managing time and the complexity of my final year project, but my supervisor was supportive and I completed the project with time to spare. My supervisor is helping me present my findings at a conference, which will be fantastic experience.
