I am currently in my final year of Brunel's Physiotherapy programme. During my degree, I have gained considerable experience in some of London’s top hospitals, and I’m currently on placement at the Chelsea and Westminster hospital in a stroke and medical ward. My communications skills have improved considerably on this placement where I have been responsible for the rehabilitation of individuals with strokes who also have speech, language, and concentration difficulties.

At times, the placement has been challenging, however the constant feedback and discussion between staff about patient needs and goals has made the placement very enjoyable and informative. I felt well prepared for my placement at Chelsea and Westminster, as I was able to refer back to knowledge gained from the neurology module. As my journey as a student comes to an end, I hope to constantly develop my skills as a physiotherapist with an aim to one day become a lecturer in physiotherapy.
