Brunel is special to me because it has given me so many unforgettable experiences that will last me a lifetime. Brunel is at the very top of the league table for student satisfaction in my course, which is impressive, given the big competition between physiotherapy courses.
The lecturers, personal tutors and older students have all been immensely helpful throughout my time at Brunel, not only are the lecturers great teachers and very knowledgeable, but they genuinely care about us as students, and want to get the best out of us. I really couldn’t fault the course and all the resources that have been available to us.
Being an active person who enjoys sport, I really warmed to Brunel when I was applying to various universities due to the vast array of sports teams and all of the sports facilities that are available, such as the indoor athletics centre and the gym. When I came to Brunel, I wanted to start something new so I joined the lacrosse team, having never played before, which has turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made at Brunel. The team were warm and welcoming, we’re always having socials or training as a team, and it really helped me to fit into university life. Being part of a sports team also gave me the opportunity to go to Rimini in Italy for a week of sport, partying, and sun! It was an amazing experience where many good memories were created.
Brunel has a great student’s union. I’ve been to many events throughout my three years as a student, including nights out in Academy, drinks in Loco’s, quiz nights, karaoke, live comedy events – the list goes on and on, there’s always something going on so I’m never bored.
Finally, Brunel has great facilities – the library, food services, HSBC, Costcutter, and sports facilities, to name a few. These are things that have really helped me to settle in to Brunel and feel at home. I have had the most wonderful time at Brunel and I am dreading it ending!
