I came to England from Poland in 2006, and after completing my undergraduate degree I wanted to continue with my studying. I came to Brunel University because of its good reputation, which I had heard about from other friends who studied here. I chose the MSc in Molecular Medicine because it looked really interesting. I was working at the same time as studying, and the course was organised in such a way to make this easy.
My MSc dissertation involved the study of a genetic disorder that causes premature aging. My supervisor was fantastic and I spent three months in the laboratory doing experiments that have been really helpful in my new job. The other tutors were really supportive, the lectures were interesting and the laboratory is really well equipped.
The other students on the course came from all over the world, attracted by the department’s reputation and it was easy to make friends, many of whom I still keep in touch with. The library and facilities are very good and there are lots of society and clubs to join. I definitely would recommend Brunel University to others.
