From my very first visit to Brunel I knew it was somewhere I could be happy and succeed. I had always heard such good things about the University and the campus really appealed to me. Living on campus and getting involved with activities, such as the student ambassador programme and the social life, gave me plenty of opportunities to be part of the wider university community and make friends that I’ll keep for life. For two years I represented my cohort as student rep and worked alongside the lecturers and tutors, many of whom I have stayed in contact with since graduating.
Since graduating I’ve started work as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist. The academic skills I gained from the programme are invaluable for the theoretical learning, the work placements and my other experiences at Brunel gave me the confidence to work with the children, their families and other professionals. I hope to return to Brunel to complete a postgraduate programme in the near future.
