New courses for 2017/18
Flood and Coastal Engineering FdSc and BSc
The Flood and Coastal Engineering FdSc and BSc have been developed in partnership with the Environment Agency (the Agency) and Local Authorities to address their need for flood engineering professionals.
The courses are sponsored by the Agency, and includes fees, placements, professional development programme and summer school, leading to exciting career opportunities. The academic programme will be delivered by Brunel University London and HR Wallingford – the world–leading independent civil engineering and environmental hydraulics company.
The course offers a full student journey from grass roots to chartered engineering status (FdSc - Engineering technician, BSc – Incorporated Engineer, MSc – Chartered Engineer) and sits alongside Brunel’s well-established fully accredited Civil Engineering degree programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Environmental Sciences BSc and Environmental Sciences MSci
Our Environmental Sciences courses have been designed to be flexible and to focus on cross-disciplinary skills that the environmental scientists of the future will need. We have a vast and well-respected research background to draw upon to ensure you receive a world-class education. The Environmental Sciences team at Brunel are previous winners of the Queen’s Anniversary Prize and we were ranked in the top 5 in the UK for research impact in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework.
The MSci (undergraduate degree with integrated master’s) course will give you a specialisation in an important Environmental Science area of your choice.

Military and International History BA
Our Military and International History degree examines war within the content of wider international history to give you specialist knowledge of war in history while educating you to be a historian.
One of the few military history programmes in the country, this course also draws on the department’s specialism in intelligence studies to examine the role that intelligence has played in warfare.

Psychology (Sport, Health and Exercise) BSc
This British Psychological Society-accredited programme is jointly delivered by the Divisions of Psychology and Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences. It is ideal for students with an interest in both psychology and sport and for those who wish to pursue a career in the psychology of sport, exercise and/or physical activity.
