About Peter
Dr. Allan is a Reader in the Wolfson Centre for Materials Processing. He graduated with a PhD from Liverpool University in 1975 and continued as a post doctoral research assistant up to 1979. He joined Brunel University in 1976 as a Research Fellow. He is a founder member of the Wolfson Centre, established in 1987.

Research Activity
Dr. Allan’s work has involved many consultancy projects with industry ranging from the processing of soft solids to the production of polymers highly-loaded with metals and ceramics for applications in the aerospace, automotive and defence industries. He has recently been involved with projects on nanocomposites, medical devices, acoustic properties of polymer composites and the processing and recycling of waste materials including materials that result from the processing of various forms of biomaterials. To date he has 86 publications and 9 patents to his name.
