About Edward

I studied Physics at the University of Liverpool from 2003-2007, receiving a Master of Physics (hons) degree. During that time I studied the behaviour of fullerenes on quasicrystal surfaces using scanning tunnelling microscopy. I began a PhD at the Wolfson Centre for Materials Processing in July 2010.

I investigate methods of ordering nanostructured carbon - including carbon nanotubes and graphene - by screen printing and electrophoretic deposition, and use them to fabricate field emission electron sources for use in x-ray machines and microwave amplifiers.
