The rapid advances that have occured in the mobile communication industry in recent years have lead to a reduction in the size and weight of most portable electronics products, including mobile phones. The size reduction has usually been accompanied by an increase in the number of functions that the phone is capable of performing. As a result the demands placed on on the portable power supply have changed.
The course is designed to provide appreciation of all aspects of power quality issues within communication systems and will address:

Dr. Mohamed K. Darwish - Lecturer in Power Electronics. Has 18
years experience in research and development of power supplies and active
filters for power quality problems in communications. He has published over 70
papers in leading Journals and conferences.
