COURSE AIMS

The rapid advances that have occured in the mobile communication industry in recent years have lead to a reduction in the size and weight of most portable electronics products, including mobile phones.  The size reduction has usually been accompanied by an increase in the number of functions that the phone is capable of performing.  As a result the demands placed on on the portable power supply have changed.

The course is designed to provide appreciation of all aspects of power quality issues within communication systems and will address:

  •  the latest technology in rechargeable batteries for mobile communications.
  •  state of the art and future development in UPS systems.
  •  issues such as grounding, shielding, and noise reduction within communication systems.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This course will be of interest to equipment manufacturers and communication engineers. Consultants and academics wishing to update and expand their knowledge in this field may also benefit from the course.
