The Brunel University, Uxbridge Campus, is located in the London Borough of Hillingdon about one mile from the centre of Uxbridge, as shown on the accompanying map. It is easily accessible from Central London (18 miles) by road (M4, A40/M40 and A4020), by London Underground (Metropolitan Line from Baker Street, Piccadilly Line from Kings Cross) and from abroad by air via Heathrow Airport (4 miles: Taxi or Buses U3 or A10 ). The entrances to the University for vehicles are in Cleveland Road and Kingston Lane. Cleveland Road is nearer to Mill Hall of Residence, which has its own car park, and to the Howell Centre where the Conference will be held.

Residential participants arriving by car are requested to park in the Mill Hall Car Park, which is adjacent to Mill Hall. Non-residential participants are recommended to use Car Park No. 9. Signposts located on the campus perimeter road indicate the way to Mill Hall and to the Howell Centre.

All residential participants are asked to report immediately on arrival at Mill Hall reception where they will be shown to their rooms. Registration for participants arriving on the evening of Monday 21 June will take place in Mill Hall between 5.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. For participants arriving on the morning of Tuesday 22 June and on subsequent days, registration will take place in the foyer of the Howell Centre between 9.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. On registration, all participants will receive a Conference Programme, a set of abstracts of all lectures and a list of participants. Badges will also be issued and participants are requested to wear these throughout the Conference.

An evening snack (buffet style) will be available on Monday evening, 21 June, between 6.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. for all those who have reserved a room for the night of 21 June.

Soap, towels, shaver points and tea/coffee-making facilities are provided in the residential accommodation.

Anyone wishing to have vegetarian or other special diets must inform the MAFELAP Conference Secretary as soon as possible.

Cancellations cannot be accepted less than one month prior to the beginning of the Conference.
