Tell us about your educational and/or career journey since you graduated from Brunel?

I submitted my CV to several universities in Egypt including the European University in Cairo, the British University, and the American University in Cairo seeking to lecture legal subjects, including public international law, intellectual property law and human rights.

What does a typical day at work involve for you?

I am working as a Judge for the Court of Appeal. My day revolves around either attending court sessions and listening to pleadings or reading cases and writing verdicts.

What’s been the highlight of your career journey so far?

I’m still waiting for the career I am dreaming about.

Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?

Brunel is one of the most reputable universities in the UK. The Law School contains distinguished professors in the legal field, especially intellectual property law and public international law. That is why I recommend the Brunel Law School to those who wish to study law as they will gain a wide knowledge in the disciplines they wish to choose.

What is your best memory of studying here?

The library atmosphere is amazing and the research criteria and tools are outstanding. I miss those days that I was spending in the library reading and writing papers.

If you could give one piece of advice to current Brunel students, what would that be?

Try to organise your time before exams and coursework. Remember that deadlines are closer than you would expect.

What would be your top tip or key advice for new graduates as they begin their career journey after leaving Brunel?

Keep hunting for jobs and don't be discouraged for not receiving replies.
