This intermediate CIM qualification brings you up to speed with the very latest digital strategies, enabling you to master digital channels and deliver an effective digital customer experience.
You can study the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing (Level 6) at Brunel Business School where you will only be required to pass two modules, Mastering Metrics and Digital Strategy. This is because the content from your Marketing degree course already covers the content in the mandatory CIM module, Strategic Marketing.
Completing and passing each module represents a distinct, self-contained award which can then be built upon to attain the full diploma. To achieve your qualification, a pass in both modules is required.
Mastering Metrics module
This module examines the importance of marketing data analysis in effective decision-making. It delineates the role of marketing metrics within an organisation and establishes how an understanding of a range of measurement techniques can enable insight that feeds into clear strategies. In this way, a measure of efficacy in marketing activities can be established to help acheive business objectives. It outlines the value of using appropriate data sources to enable effective marketing analysis, and of employing appropriate analytics tools and techniques.
Mastering Metrics is taught in a small group via a 4-day workshop that will run in November 2018. All efforts are made to help you make a significant start on your assignment during the workshop. Attending the workshop in its entirety is compulsory.

Digital Strategy module
This module provides insight into how organisations can implement digital marketing in strategic marketing plans. It outlines how an understanding and analysis of the macro and micro environments can enable assessment of the impact of digital in delivering objectives. From there, strategic recommendations can be developed. The module provides recognition of how creating digital marketing mixes can enable an agile response to market needs. Ultimately, we will examine how the management of digital channels and the application of key digital measures can be instrumental in achieving business objectives.
Digital Strategy is taught in a small group via a 4-day workshop that will run in Spring 2019. All efforts are made to help you make a significant start on your assignment during the workshop. Attending the workshop in its entirety is compulsory.
Digital Strategy Workshop dates; Monday 10 - Thursday 13 February 2020 (reading week) - Digital Strategy workshop followed by Assignment support.
Assignment submission to Brunel & CIM -TBA.
The module will be assessed through coursework. Submission deadline is TBC.
Brunel Business School offers strong personal support with both assignments due to the professional nature of the qualifications. We'll give you all the help you need to stay on track and hit the CIM standard.
Fees per module: £900*
Fees quoted are supported by Brunel Business School (BBS) and are well below those charged by external CIM training centres.
At the discretion of the head of School, undergraduates will be given a £300 discount, bringing the fees down to £600.

How do I secure my place?
Brunel Business School is committed to high levels of teaching so the workshop is kept to a small group; it's therefore a good idea to register early and secure your place. The course going ahead is subject to a minimum number of registrations being reached.
