Photography, Filming and Web Streaming
Graduates, guests and staff should be aware that graduation ceremonies are regarded as official University events.
Links to rewatch the our Summer 2022 ceremonies can be found here.
Those attending a ceremony at Brunel University London should note that they may be photographed and/or filmed while on campus. Photos/film footage may be used in Brunel's promotional materials (including the University's website). We will try to ensure that attendees are aware they have been photographed and/or filmed and are willing to have this material published if required. However, because of the nature of the event, this may not always be possible.
The Ceremonies will be recorded capturing your special moment on stage and accessible to graduates, guests and relatives after the event.
Ede and Ravenscroft are our official University photographers during Graduation. They provide a professional photography service and can take an individual portrait of you, as well as photographs with family members and friends.
For photos taken as you cross the stage - you will be emailed a link from Ede and Ravenscroft approximately 7-10 days after the day of your ceremony.
How do I arrange for my photograph to be taken on the day?
Ede & Ravenscroft have a variety of photograph packs for you and your family to buy with details on how to order to follow soon.
You may also purchase photograph packs on the day of your ceremony, however we do recommend that you pre-order to avoid delays.
Please remember with all pre-orders, you should print off your final photography confirmation along with the attachment. This will save you having to complete another form on the day.

Can I book an appointment to have my photographs taken?
It is not necessary to book an appointment to have your photographs taken on the day, but you may wish to have a look at the website and pre-order. There will be numerous studios available in the photography area within the Netball Hall.
When can I have my photographs taken?
You can have your formal photographs taken in the netball hall before or after your ceremony but make sure you are in your seat in the Graduation theatre no less than 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony.
For those attending a morning Ceremony, it is advisable to have your photographs taken prior to the Ceremony as the studios can get very busy between Ceremonies.
Will my guests be able to take photographs inside the theatre?
Your guests will be able to take photographs inside the theatre providing that they do not place themselves in positions that block any exits from the theatre, block the view of another guest or interfere with any Graduation processes.
Can I hire someone to film my ceremony or take photographs of me?
No. Other professional photographers may not take photographs or video recordings during the ceremony on behalf of students or guests.
Will my ceremony be recorded?
The Ceremonies will be recorded capturing your special moment on stage and accessible to graduates, guests and relatives after the event. They can be rewatched after the event and we will post links on this website once available.
Powerful zoom lenses get close to the action, producing a dynamic recording of your big moment. Unlike smartphone recordings, we follow the action and capture the atmosphere of this great event, preserving your important milestone forever. The event is recorded using multiple cameras and all cameras are directed and controlled live providing comprehensive quality coverage of your ceremony.
Will my ceremony be broadcast on the internet?
The University will broadcast a live stream over its internal and external website. This enables friends and family who cannot attend to see the ceremony.
Please note that the ability to view the live stream on the day of the ceremony will depend upon a number of factors beyond the University’s control, such as the user’s browser, system and bandwidth. It is therefore impossible to guarantee that the streaming will be viewable to all.
Where can I purchase Graduation memorabilia?
The Union of Brunel Students offer a fantastic range of memorabilia to commemorate your Graduation.
The Union Shop can be found here - https://brunelstudents.com/shop/
