January International Orientation Programme

All international and EU students are invited to join our online Orientation Programme in January 2020.

The International Orientation Programme aims to give you the best start to life in the UK and study at Brunel University London. Whether it's your first experience of another country, or you have studied in the UK before, our programme is designed to give you all the essential information before you start your studies.

We also offer a free Airport Welcome Service where you'll be picked up safely from Heathrow airport and driven directly to campus. The service is only available from Heathrow aiport and will run until January 31st 2021.

If you will be arriving between 18 December 2020 and 6 January 2021, you will need to request your taxi before Thursday 17 December to ensure that it is booked in time.

If you are arriving into a different UK airport or after Sunday 31 January you will not be able to use the pickup service.

When you arrive in the UK you will need to self isolate for 14 days, unless you are arriving from an exempt country listed here. Government guidance on quarantining can be found here.

If you are arriving from a country that requires you to self-isolate for 14 days, you can book temporary accommodation to self-isolate on campus. This is subject to availability, and you will be charged the en-suite room rate. Find more information here.

For practical information and insight on UK education for international students visit British Council - Study UK.

  • Looking after yourself in self isolation
  • Setting up a bank account and mobile phone
  • Building social connections
  • Getting medical care
  • How to keep yourself safe in the UK or studying online

Your health and wellbeing is our priority at Brunel and we are closely monitoring lastest advice and guidance to ensure your safety.

The January 2021 programme will be delivered online, allowing you to access the information in your own time, from anywhere with internet connection.

Once you have arrived on campus (or completed your self isolation) you'll have the opportunity to safely meet some of your fellow students, and familiarise yourself with the campus and local area.
