Bill Griffiths (1948 – 2007) was a poet, scholar, small press publisher, local historian, archivist and scholar of English dialect. He published over 80 volumes of poetry and also published works from his own press (Pirate Press and later Amra). In his later life he moved to the North East where he became active in collecting and archiving materials associated with local dialects. The collection held at Brunel is in two parts: part one deals principally with his work in publishing and poetry, including examples of published and unpublished work and correspondence. The second part contains results of his research into various areas.
