Tennis Safety Guidelines - Covid 19

Guidelines to restricted play at Brunel Sports Park

All government/LTA health and social distancing guidelines are to be adhered to at all times
The continuance of tennis at Brunel Sport depends on all users respecting and following the guidance set out below:
Court Access

  • Players should observe the 2-metre social distancing rule at all times taking particular care when entering and leaving the courts
  • Players should arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before their court booking and leave when their booking is over
  • Players should avoid touching any gates and are advised to leave them open

Tennis activity

  • Singles only is permitted - unless all 4 playing members are from the same household in which case doubles can be played.
  • Stay on your side of court and avoid changing ends, or agree to change ends at opposite sides of the net
  • Use your own balls for serving and return your opponent’s balls without using your hands
  • Return balls coming from a neighbouring court without touching them with your hands
  • Coached sessions should be limited to one to one coaching activity only

Equipment – Players should bring the follow items:

  • Hand sanitiser
  • Individual rackets and marked tennis balls
  • Rehydrating fluids
  • Any rackets/balls required - none will be available to hire

Health, safety and Hygiene

  • Users recommend to bring their own hand sanitiser
  • No toilet or changing facilities will be available onsite
  • Clean and wipe down your equipment, including racquets and water bottles before and after use
  • Hand sanitisers will be provided on each court
  • Avoid touching your face and cough or sneeze into a tissue or the crook of your elbow.
  • A designated first aider will be onsite at all times and can be contacted on 01895265608 for assistance
  • CCTV is in operation
