Academic related support and how it can help

An opportunity to meet some of the key personnel within the University with whom you will be in contact during your time with Brunel University, starting with a member of the Academic Skills team.

The Academic Skills (ASK) service supports Brunel students by helping them to develop the skills they need to learn independently and thrive academically, whatever their level or subject. This will be followed by a chat from a member of the Professional Development Centre (PDC) who can advise on work placements, careers and part time jobs while you study. The PDC has been voted by Brunel students as one of the best career services in the UK and they are here to support your career development and enhance your employability at every step of your journey

Meet your Union Rep and learn about our IT platforms

Time for a quick refuel break

Online Teaching Platforms: Carrying on with some information on our online teaching platforms, Blackboard Learn and Wiseflow which is the online tool you will be using to upload most of your assignment work

This will be followed by an opportunity to meet your

Student Union Rep (VP-CEDPS) Eshna, who will be telling you all about the Student Union, her role and how she can help you during your time at Brunel. This will be followed by a chance for you to grab some lunch and an afternoon to work on your video task, which will be explained in this session.

The video assignment instructions will be given during this time. The latest hand in time is 23:59 tonight. We do recommend for this and all assignments that you aim for 17:00

Learn about Brunel and its systems with an online task.  We cannot give you a physical prize, so we are giving you the opportunity to acquire a voucher.
