Mathematics skills development

By studying mathematics at Brunel, you’ll develop in-depth mathematical knowledge and excellent study skills that are hugely valuable in the workplace.

You can count on us to develop your problem solving skills, critical and analytical thinking, and to give you the ability to construct logical mathematical arguments and to expose illogical arguments throughout your degree.

During your second year of study, you’ll benefit from attending an Employability Conference where you can learn everything you need to know about how to prepare for the workplace, from writing a winning CV and cover letter to lots of interview practice. You’ll also hear from past placement students and alumni talking about their work experiences, helping you determine the right career path for you.

Your mathematics degree will give you more than just mathematical skills. You’ll gain transferable skills which are of importance to potential employers including team working, decision making, project management and your overall contribution to the organisation.
