Altered Boundaries
Brunel Arts and zer0classikal present Altered Boundaries, a new experience in Indian classical music.
The performance rethinks the concept of a string quartet, replacing the standard violins, viola and cello with sitars, sarod and sarangi.
The 40 minute work features award winning musicianship from Jonathan Mayer, William Rees Hofmann, Jasdeep Singh and Surjit Singh, and offers the audience a unique chance to hear the creation of a new sound, which pushes the boundaries of contemporary Indian classical music.
