With much regret Brunel has taken the decision to cancel tomorrow evening’s Fireworks Night event (Tuesday 5 November) because of the weather conditions being forecast. We have been told by the display company that heavy winds expected tomorrow would pose an unacceptable risk of injury to a large crowd.
The safety of our guests is of paramount importance to us and we will be fully refunding everyone who has bought a ticket via our Eventbrite booking system or directly if tickets were bought on campus. This has been an incredibly hard decision to take and we apologise to everyone who was looking forward to this year’s event.

Advice from the contractors who run the display on our behalf is to cancel the event. They look at different weather forecasts – looking at wind speed at height and not the weather on the ground. The forecasts predict winds will be 29 miles per hour between 400- 600 feet up in the air, which is the height at which fireworks explode and beyond the maximum safe wind speed. Again, we are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

As one of the largest fireworks displays in the Uxbridge area for our local community, we are proud to welcome you to our campus on Tuesday 5 November. There will be plenty of entertainment and free activities for all the family as well as our mini-market with a variety of stalls providing refreshments and glow sticks.  From burgers and chips to toffee apples and cakes there’s plenty to keep you warm and toasty.

Book your tickets online or fast track wrist bands with no booking fee are available when you purchase your ticket on campus.

Approximate timings
Doors will open at 5.30pm
Bonfire lighting at 6.30pm
Firework display at 7pm

Parking is free on campus, but on a first come, first served basis as limited spaces are available. We recommend using public transport if possible.

Further information can be found on our dedicated Brunel Bonfire Night and Fireworks Display 2019 website.
