Dr Miller takes seat on educational management council

Brunel’s Dr Paul Miller has been elected to sit on the council of the UK’s foremost educational leadership organisation.

Dr Miller, a Reader in Education, who will also convene the newly formed Research Interest Group on "race and leadership", is the first black male to be appointed to the 23-member council of the British Educational Leadership Administration Society (BELMAS).

Through his role within the society, which has more than 1,000 members, Dr Miller hopes to further develop educational leadership and management as a field of study and research at Brunel University London’s Department of Education.

In addition to his seat on BELMAS Council, Dr Miller, who is formerly Professor of Educational Leadership and Management at the University of Technology, Jamaica, also sits on the Board of the Institute for Educational Administration and Leadership - Jamaica and the Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management. He is also Associate Editor of International Studies in Educational Administration and Associate Editor of Educational Management Administration & Leadership.
