Hillingdon Mayor joins One World Week at Brunel University

Councillor Routledge visited One World Week Fayre on Thursday [23/11], in the Hamilton Building, to meet the student societies and see their displays. Events included a Sikh Martial Arts display, a talk on Ancient Persia by Nigel Tallis from the British Museum, a Saudi Arabian costume display by the King Fahad Academy Scouts, classes in belly dancing, salsa dancing, and sign language.
Brunel University Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Linda Thomas said: “It was a very enjoyable week with a timely message for all of us.“
Students also enjoyed different menus in the refectory, including kangaroo steak and ostrich pie, as well as Fair Trade free wine and chocolate tasting sessions.
