Tuesday July 17, approx 11.30am: Prof Alan Roberts, Founder Prosthetic Solutions
Honorary degree of Doctor of Technology in recognition of his outstanding services to technology.

Tuesday July 17, approx 4pm: Iain Sinclair, cult author and film-maker. Winner of James Tait Black Prize and the Encore Award for the best second novel. Non-fiction books include London Orbital, about following the M25 on foot.
Honorary degree of Doctor of Letters.

Wednesday July 18, approx 4pm: Grace Robertson, internationally renowned photojournalist and alumnus
Honorary degree of Doctor of Education for her outstanding services to photojournalism.

Wednesday July 18, approx 4pm: Adam Hart-Davis, Writer and award-winning TV and radio presenter of Tomorrow's World and What the Romans Did For Us.
Honorary degree of Doctor of the University, for services to the public understanding of science, technology and engineering.

Thursday July 19, approx 11.30am: Boris Johnson, Shadow Secretary for Higher Education and MP for Henley-on-Thames. Also former editor of The Spectator, award-winning columnist and journalist: What The Papers Say Commentator of the Year, Columnist of the Year and Editors' Editor of the Year.
Hon degree of Doctor of Laws, for services to national politics and to higher education.

Thursday July 19, approx 2.30pm: Wing Commander Edna Partridge, representative Deputy. Lieutenant for the London Borough of Hillingdon, formerly Commanding Officer of No 600 (City of London) Squadron RAuxAF.
She will be awarded the honorary Degree of Doctor of the University for her outstanding service to the University.

Sir John Dankworth: performer, composer and conductor, film scores include Saturday Night and Sunday Morning, Accident, and The Servant.
Honorary degree of Doctor of Music for outstanding services to music.

Dame Cleo Laine, Grammy-nominated internationally renowned jazz singer. Honorary degree of Doctor of Music for outstanding services to music.
(Sir John and Dame Cleo, who are married, are both celebrating their 80th year)

Friday July 20, approx 11am: Jack Straw, Justice Secretary and former Lord Privy Seal and Leader of the House of Commons; former Foreign Secretary, and former Home Secretary, and MP for Blackburn.
To be awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws for his services to national and international politics.
