Multimedia student nominated for designer of the year award

Multimedia student Tushar Merwanji has been shortlisted for 'Young Designer of the Year' in the 16th net awards.

The awards, which honour people working in the web design and development industry, are held annually by industry-leading net magazine.

Finalists must be nominated by their peers for their work in the past 12 months. This year they were selected from 1,725 nominations.

Tushar, who graduates this year, was nominated for his work as a UX and UI designer, working on projects for Jaguar, Land Rover, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer. He has also built an iOS application for Alzheimer’s patients.

Course Director Steve Cockett said: "These are very prestigious awards, and it's a real achievement for Tushar to have been shortlisted."
