Beck Theatre - Usher



Details of the Charity:

The Beck Theatre is part of the HQ Theatres and Hospitality group situated in Hayes. It is a 600 seat theatre, in the London Borough of Hillingdon showing a wide variety of shows and films. It was built in 1977 at a cost of £2.5 million and is focused as a theatre for the community. 

 

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

Volunteers make a valuable contribution to the customer experience by acting as the public face of the venue during performances and events. Volunteers are required to welcome and professionally interact with all our visitors ensuring they have a positive, enjoyable and safe experience.

Volunteer duties will include: 

  • Attending briefings and debriefings before and after each shift.
  • Providing an excellent level of customer care, proactively and professionally engaging with visitors for the duration of their visit.
  • Acting as an ambassador for The Beck Theatre (and all HQ Theatres) at all times when volunteering at the venue.
  • Checking tickets and directing visitors to their seats, as instructed.
  • Selling programmes, merchandise, icr creams and confectionary if required.
  • Maintaing high standard of personal presentation at all times when on shift.

Skills Required:

  • Good customer relations
  • Good command of English

  • Will be recorded on your HEAR – which goes on your permanent university record
  • All hours contribute towards your Brunel Volunteers Award, which may lead to an invitation to the annual Brunel Volunteers Awards Ceremony in May
