Breast Cancer Care - Charity Cheer Point Volunteers

Details of the Charity:

We are a charity here to support people affected by breast cancer with free face-to-face groups, access to breast care nurses, peer support and our ground-breaking app for breast cancer patients. We have recently merged with research charity Breast Cancer Now to become the UK's first comprehensive breast cancer charity. From research to care, our new charity puts people affected by breast cancer at its heart — providing support for today and hope for the future. United, we have the ability to carry out even more world-class research, provide even more life-changing support and campaign even more effectively for better services and care.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

We need enthusiastic volunteers to attend our dedicated Breast Cancer Care and Breast cancer Now cheer points at sports events – autumn events being the Richmond Runfest (15th September) and the Royal Parks Half Marathon (13th October). Cheerers are needed to support our running team and to give our charity runners a huge boost when they need it most. We can provide a t-shirt, cheering materials and light refreshments, all volunteers need to do is attend ready to show their support, loudly!
