Brunel University - INTCATCH (Conference Steward)

Details of the Charity:

INTCATCH are delighted to host in London the IWA Supported Conference on Smarter Catchment Monitoring, Cleaner Waters.

The Conference will bring together researchers, engineers, water practitioners from academia, industry, water utilities, public authorities, NGOs, citizen scientists and administration to exchange know-how and experiences within the concept of water monitoring and treatment.

During the Conference knowledge and expertise will be disseminated on innovative water monitoring including among others technological breakthroughs, best practices, citizen science activities, industrial participation and cases.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

We are looking for Conference Stewards to help run an International ‘Cleaner Water’ Conference on the 4th-6th September taking place at the impressive Stratford Olympic Park. 

Duties will include greeting delegates, distributing materials, and assisting visitors with directions during the conference.

There are various shifts available throughout the conference, so please do let us know your availability across the 4th-6th September.

Skills Required:

  • Friendly and approachable demeanour, and a willingness to help!

  • As well as a terrific opportunity to network and gain event experience, our volunteers are invited to join for a free dinner and boat cruise on the Thames as part of the conference. Plus there will be plenty of opportunity to enjoy the Olympic Park and some free event goodies!

  • All hours contribute to your Brunel Volunteers Award, which leads to an invitation to the Brunel Volunteers Awards Ceremony at the end of the year.
