Details of the Charity:

In June 2020 London will be one of the cities hosting the EURO 2020 football tournament, and you have a chance to be part of this event. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to volunteer for a major sporting event happening right on your doorstep. We are looking for volunteers to provide a world-class welcome to visitors across London at tourist hotspots, transport hubs and at official fan zones during the EURO 2020 football tournament in June & July 2020. Volunteers will be the face of London, showcasing our fantastic city to a global audience. The roles on offer range from bringing fan zones to life, directing visitors to famous landmarks, leading teams of volunteers at iconic venues, and many more.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

UEFA EURO 2020 London Squad Volunteers will provide a world-class welcome to all visitors coming to London during the tournament. You will be the face of London, showcasing our diverse culture, rich history, atmospheric parks and public spaces to a global audience. If you’re passionate about London and want to make EURO 2020 the best it can be, then this is for you! Complete your application below, and if successful, we’ll invite you to join us at the world-famous Wembley stadium for your selection session.

Where you will make a difference

The London Squad will be a 2,000 strong team in which every person can make a huge impact. We’ll provide key information to anyone visiting the capital, enhancing their EURO 2020 experience, and creating life-long memories for all involved. 

Based at a range of locations across the city, as a team we’ll cover the major transport hubs, London’s world-famous landmarks, and the tournament Fan Zones that will attract thousands of fans supporting their teams. If you’re someone who can engage with people from all over the world, be warm, welcoming and friendly, we want you to be part of the London Squad! 


We have a range of roles and your volunteering duties may include providing information to spectators to help them navigate their way around the city. You may also support the media, including photographers and journalists, ensuring they can effectively capture the excitement of the tournament and broadcast it to the world. Another volunteering role will involve supporting the various Fan Zones, where you will enhance the spectator experience, encourage participation, and ensure they leave with life-long memories.

Skills Required:

  • Have enthusiasm for London and all it has to offer
  • Be 18 years old by the time training begins on 1 May 2020
  • Attend a selection session at world-famous Wembley Stadium
  • Attend a one-day role specific training session in May 2020
  • Be available to volunteer in London for at least five shifts during June-July 2020. Shift lengths will vary between 4 and 6 hours.

Please note that whilst knowledge of London is helpful it is not essential, as we will give you all the training you need to excel in your role.
