Headway- Brain Injury Identity Card Administrator



Details of the Charity:

Headway – the brain injury association aims to promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provide information, support and services to survivors, their families and carers. In addition, Headway will campaign to reduce the incidence of brain injury.

 

Headway’s objectives are:

To increase awareness and understanding of brain injury and its consequences

To initiate activities and campaigns which will reduce the incidence of brain injury

To provide information and support for people with brain injuries, their relatives, carers and concerned professional people

To promote improved approaches to brain injury screening, acute care, assessment, rehabilitation and community reintegration

To assist people with brain injuries to return to community living, including access to appropriate accommodation, social outlets and productive activity

To support and help to establish Headway Groups throughout the UK in furtherance of the charity's mission statement and encourage them to address the needs of

all sections of the community

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

Key Tasks

 

  • Vetting Brain Injury Identity Card applications

 

  • To obtain outstanding information from the applicants and/or health professionals

 

  • Recording application information on the database: Salesforce

 

  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all correspondence

 

  • Using Salesforce database (full training will be provided)

 

  • Using ImageBase database (full training will be provided)

 

  • Producing and distributing Brain Injury Identity Cards

 

 

Expenses

We are happy to reimburse reasonable expenses. Please note: We are based in Colliers Wood, South West London, and so commuting distances should be taken into account.

 

Time required

2 full days a week but this is negotiable

 

Time-frame

Ongoing – to be reviewed on a regular basis

Skills Required:

  • Positive attitude with a ‘can do’ approach
  • Keen to learn and take on feedback
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Familiar with MS office
  • To comply with Headway’s Equal Opportunities, Confidentiality and Health and Safety policies
  • It would be useful if you had previous database experience
