Lifetime Learning - Administration Volunteer

Details of the Charity:

Lifetime Learning is a self-funded UK registered charity that provides opportunities for residents within and outside of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Our charity helps to tackle unemployment by supporting those furthest from the labour market. We provide opportunities to support individuals in acquiring sustainable employment through the development of skills, knowledge, social well-being and experience.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

  • Dealing with enquiries and bookings
  • Delivering information of the services we provide over the phone and face-to-face
  • Preparing training materials (activity booklets, presentations)
  • Travel arrangements for our training courses
  • Dealing with invoices
  • Serving our clients
  • Promoting our software (commission)
  • Adhoc Administration

Skills Required:

  • Good command of English
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Be able to remain calm in stressful situations 
  • Great communication skills
  • Good PC skills

  • Hours volunteers will be recorded on your HEAR – which goes on your permanent university record
  • All hours contribute towards your Brunel Volunteers Award, which leads to an invitation to the Brunel Volunteers Awards Ceremony
