London Community Academy - Girls Development Centre Football Coach

Details of the Charity:

London Community Academy is a non-profit community interest company that aims to ensure that youth of all ages can participate and enjoy sport. We take pride in delivering sports sessions for schools, community schemes and our own competitive teams. We believe through sport we can build youths an inspiring future.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

  • To organise and deliver football coaching sessions to the squads
  • Analysing and determining individual player abilities, strengths and areas of improvement and factoring these assessments into practice and games
  • Fostering good sportsmanship in all players and ensuring sessions are fun!
  • To ensure all London Community Academy values are promoted and adhered to during sessions and matches
  • Organise team building activities and sessions to improve squad performance
  • Ensure all equipment is working and available
  • Record-keeping of player development every 3 months

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience working in a coaching environment
  • An interest or passion for coaching and working within sports, especially girls’ football
  • FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification; FA Level 2 desirable  
  • FA Level 1 First Aid
  • Great management, organisational and motivational skills
  • Disciplined individual with a positive attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A team player who enjoys working closely with others and is willing to learn
  • DBS check is required; contact Brunel Volunteers team
