The Museum of Architecture (MoA) is a charity that helps the public engage with architecture and supports architects to be more entrepreneurial. MoA provides opportunities for architects to collaborate with other industries and communities to be better informed about the places and people for which they are designing.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
The Gingerbread City is an annual exhibition where architects, designers and engineers create an entire city made of gingerbread. Created by the Museum of Architecture, the aim of the exhibition is to connect the public with architecture through an innovative display designed for the holiday season. Now in its tird year, this edition of the Gingerbread City is hoted by the V & A museum in the Creative Studio space and will focus on the theme 'Imagining the Future City.'
We need volunteers to advertise the event and promote the workshops by handing our postacrds at strategic points around the V & A. They will have official ID badges as required by the council and will work in pairs.
Dates: December 1st to January 6th with two shifts.
Times: 10:30 to 1:30pm and 1:30pm till 4:30pm.
Location: South Kensington Station, Exhibition Road and Cromwell
- Hours volunteered will be recorded on your HEAR – which goes on your permanent university record
- All hours contribute towards your Brunel Volunteers Award, which may lead to an invitation to the annual Brunel Awards Ceremony in May
