Details of the Charity:

Otermans Institute (OI) provides free professional development and soft skills training support to some of the most disadvantaged students mainly in the countries of Nepal, Bangladesh, and India. OI is also contracted with local governments and currently impacts 25,000+ pupils in the region – www.oiedu.co.uk

Physical training has taken a back foot due to COVID-19, but OI continues supporting students in disadvantaged parts of the world weekly using live digital sessions through the support of passionate volunteers.

 

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

Physical training has taken a back foot due to COVID-19, but OI continues supporting students in disadvantaged parts of the world weekly using live digital sessions through the support of passionate volunteers. A few hours a week of your time can make a massive impact in the lives of these students.

You will be trained and internally certified before starting your role.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Attending all trainings as appropriate for your role.
  • Digital interactions and training sessions with disadvantaged students mainly from remote locations in Asia.
  • Maintaining weekly reports on your students for the duration of the 15-week programme.
  • Managing and invigilating assessments digitally.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum 5 hour a week (spread throughout the week). There is no set maximum, this is flexible and will be agreed mutually.

  • The duration is 6-weeks between November-December 2020 and 8-weeks January-April 2021.

  • Your training hours are in addition to the above.
