Qoys Daryeel - Fundraiser



Details of the Charity:

Qoys Daryeel is registered as a charity (CIO) No.1190367 that works alongside the Race on the Agenda team for the 2019-2020 Active Minds, Healthy Lives project. We also work with the CCG NHS as well as three schools in the Hillingdon area. We receive funding from the London Community Response Fund (via City Bridge Trust), Community Fund and Family Fund.   Qoys Daryeel can be described as an organisation that focuses on the educational advancement of BAME women in the local community. We aim to encourage discussion surrounding issues such as Violence against women, Women’s rights, FGM and Women’s general Health and Wellbeing. We were first established in 2018 and have already made tremendous progress in our local community with workshops, coffee mornings and weekly meetings. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in working with a charity that primarily focuses on the economic, social and political advancement of women. We believe this volunteer experience would be largely beneficial for students of any level and we encourage participation for those looking to make a difference in their local communities. We receive funding from the London Community Response Fund (via City Bridge Trust) The project will finish in March 2021.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

The volunteer will be based in our Office of which we have provided an address. 

The position requires 5 hrs per week on Friday or Saturday. We are flexible with regards to the days the individual would be available.

Tasks and responsibilities include:

Monitoring and evaluation

Skills Required:

Communication skills.

A preference for time management.

Professionalism.

Creativity and a bonus would include any skills regarding web development.
