RSPCA – Volunteer Shop Assistant
Details of the Charity:Share this
Our branch is one of about 160 independent RSPCA branch charities, providing vital animal welfare services within our local community and supporting the national RSPCA inspectorate team working in our area. We are run by a group of dedicated volunteer trustees who undertake the huge tasks of managing the Branch.
Our primary aims are to prevent animal cruelty and suffering, promote responsible pet ownership, rehabilitate and find loving new homes for unwanted, abandoned and mistreated pets and provide subsidised treatment and preventative care for animals whose owner cannot afford private vet fees.
As an independent registered charity, we are not centrally or government funded, and are responsible for raising fund locally to finance the work we do helping needy animals in our area. To deliver current levels of animal welfare services via our homing centre and veterinary clinic, we face the daunting task of raising more than £1 million a year through our fundraising events, donations, legacies and income from our charity shops.
