Royal Society for Blind Children- Event volunteer

Details of the Charity:

No child in the UK should grow up to be poor or lonely just because they are blind.

•             90% of those who lose their sight in youth won’t work for more than six months in their lives

•             Most will never have someone to share their life with

The Royal Society for Blind Children believe in a better life for blind children - we are on a mission to make sure every single blind child has the self-belief and skills  to fulfil the potential we know they’ve got.

If you are passionate about all young people having the opportunity to live their lives   without limits, join us as a volunteer; have fun, meet new people and make a   real difference to the lives of vision impaired children and young people.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

We are excited to be   hosting our annual flagship event once again at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park   - the 5k and 10k Blindfold Run on   Sunday 4th November from 09:00 – 14:00! Hundreds of supporters   will run in pairs - one blindfolded, the other guiding, and each and every   one of them will be there to help RSBC make sure that no child is poor or   lonely just because they are blind.

It's an event like no other, but one that would not be possible without an army of enthusiastic volunteers!

Event Volunteer: Event set up/dressing venue, marshalling, wayfinding & cheering, bag check, handing out medals, water and goody bags, registration desk and manning event stalls
