Union of Brunel Students - Black History Month Volunteer

Details of the Charity:

The Union of Brunel Students exists to ensure that every Brunel student has the opportunity to enjoy, challenge, influence and benefit from all aspects of their studies and the wider student experience". Today we exist as a challenging, progressive and change-focused organisation. Our Impact is measured in the work that we do on behalf and with students to improve the experience here at Brunel. 


Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

Volunteers are required to support the planning and delivery of events designed to raise awareness of Black History Month 

Volunteer tasks include:

  • Supporting the promotion of events e.g. putting up and handing out flyers, encouraging students to sign up to events
  • Helping with set up and preparation of events e.g decorating venues
  • Working with Union team to share ideas for events
  • Performing in poetry/musical talent showcases 

Volunteers should be available for a few hours each week throughout October, specific hours to be confirmed.

  • Strong communication and teamworking skills
  • Creative thinking
  • Organisational skills
  • Experience of advertising and design
