Uxbridge College – Sports Coaches Volunteers

Details of the Charity:

Uxbridge College first opened our doors in September 1965 and have been educating and training people ever since.

Ofsted judged the College to be outstanding – the highest possible result that they can give. Following the one-week visit in May 2008, inspectors from the government’s education inspection body Ofsted gave the college the highest possible accolade for its standards which covers six main areas, five of which were graded outstanding (Grade 1), the sixth good (Grade 2):

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

Uxbridge College are looking for Sports Coaches Volunteers to help with various sports sessions across both their Hayes and Uxbridge Campuses.

Uxbridge College (Hayes Campus):

  • Monday: Football
  • Wednesday: Rounder’s
  • Thursday: Basketball

Uxbridge College (Uxbridge Campus):

  • Tuesday: Football
  • Tuesday: Volleyball
  • Thursday: Table Tennis
  • Friday: Badminton

Skills Required:

  • Good subject knowledge
  • People skills
  • Good time keeping

Additional Benefits:

  • Free L1 FA coaching course provided once volunteering hours are reached. If you already have L1 you will receive 50% off L2 FA coaching course once completed
  • Hours volunteered will be recorded on your HEAR – which goes on your permanent university record
  • All hours contribute towards your Brunel Volunteers Award, which leads to an invitation to the Brunel Volunteers Awards Ceremony
