WaterAid - Student Ambassador

Details of the Charity:

With the help of amazing people like you, we're working with our partners in some of the toughest places in the world. Together, we've already reached millions of people with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, enabling entire communities to unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good. And while installing taps and toilets is essential to our work, we do so much more.

We convince governments to change laws, link policy makers with people on the ground, pool knowledge and resources and rally support from people and organisations around the world, making lasting change happen on a massive scale.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

A Student Ambassador is essentially the voice of WaterAid at their university. They undertake activities which promote WaterAid's work and message within their university community, they plan and organise a certain number of fundraising events and activities throughout the year, and they work to make connections with other societies and grow support for WaterAid for future years. You will be based at your university.

An Ambassador would need to keep in regular contact with Head Office through monthly check ins as well as regular email contact. There is no specific time commitment, but we would ask that you hold at least three events (but preferably more) per year, and that you manage to help recruit a new Ambassador to take your place when you step down.
