Details of the Charity:

Yiewsley Library is a small but busy library in the heart of Yiewsley's diverse community. We are committed to providing excellent customer service and developing events and activities that meet the needs of our community.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

Book bunch is our children's reading group for ages 7-11. The group encourages children to develop their reading, comprehension and writing skills.

Our current sessions are all fully booked with long waiting lists and we are looking to additional groups alongside our existing groups.

Volunteers would lead a group of 5-10 children as they read a book chosen by either the children or library staff and complete a short related activity (usually writing or illustration).

Training will be given in the form of shadowing existing sessions.

There will be opportunity for the volunteer to create activities and lead sessions.
