Yiewsley Library - Conversation Class Volunteer

Details of the Charity:

Yiewsley Library is a busy community library serving a wide demographic. We aim to support our local residents through local events, activities and excellent customer service. Libraries are not just about books, we offer support in a variety of areas including languages, computers and connecting with other services.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

Yiewsley Library's conversation is a popular weekly group run during term time. The group offers informal support for those learning or building confidence in spoken English.

Each week attendees work together on questions and activities around a given theme such as food, holidays or travel. Activities are arranged by a member of library staff and include written and reading tasks. The volunteer would support the group, helping attendees to complete tasks and occasionally running the group.
